British & American Accent Intensive

One-Day Workshop

Belfast & Dublin

This one-day intensive is designed for actors, performers, and voice professionals who want to strengthen their Standard British and Standard American accents quickly, clearly, and with confidence.

We'll work hands-on, in a supportive and practical environment, focusing on real, usable accent skills — not confusing technical jargon. You'll leave the day with tools you can immediately apply to auditions, self-tapes, castings, and professional work.

The workshop is split into two focused sessions:

Morning Session

Standard American Accent

We begin with physical and vocal warm-ups to reset your voice and speech habits before diving into the foundations of a clear, neutral Standard American accent.

You'll explore:

Mouth posture and placement
Key sound patterns and vowel families
Rhythm, flow, and musicality
Common traps for non-American speakers
Guided script practice with live coaching and correction

Afternoon Session

Standard British Accent

After lunch, we shift into Standard British (Contemporary RP). Again, we start with warm-ups before breaking down how the accent is shaped, how it moves, and how it lives in the body and voice.

You'll work on:

Clear British consonants and vowels
Sound placement and clarity
Natural rhythm and sentence flow
Avoiding over-posh or outdated British sounds
Script work with feedback and performance application

Throughout the day, you'll be actively speaking, practising, and receiving guidance — this is not a lecture-style workshop. Everything is taught in an actor-friendly way, focusing on confidence, consistency, and authenticity rather than perfection.

This workshop is ideal for:

Actors preparing for auditions or drama school

Performers wanting cleaner, more neutral accents

Voice artists and presenters

Anyone needing reliable British and American accents for professional use

No previous accent training is required. All levels are welcome.
